「新聞評述比賽」章則

目 的：	引發中學生對時事新聞作深入思考，培養獨立思考能力
參加方法：	以個人為單位，選取一則於2008年發生的本港、兩岸或國際新聞作主題，選寫評論一則。參賽作品須連同填妥的參加表格於截止日期前郵寄或送交至： 九龍長沙灣麗閣邨麗荷樓 129 號地下 學友社「全港中學生十大新聞選舉」秘書處
截止日期：	2008年11月3日（星期一）（以郵戳為準）
參賽組別︰	高中(中四至中七)中文組及英文組 初中(中一至中三)中文組及英文組
獎 項：	每組均設有以下獎項︰
	冠軍	書券$1000、獎狀及其他禮品
	亞軍	書券$700、獎狀及其他禮品
	季軍	書券$400、獎狀及其他禮品
	優異獎兩名	書券$200及獎狀
比賽須知：	1. 中文組參賽文稿須以原稿紙正楷書寫或以電腦打印於A4白紙上。 2. 英文組參賽文稿須以電腦打印於A4白紙上，手寫文稿恕不接受。 3. 字數限制︰中文組為500至2000字；英文組為1000字以下。 4. 參賽文稿須為個人創作之正稿、未經出版及不得抄襲。 5. 參賽文稿恕不發還，主辦機構有權將其用作宣傳、刊登或發表。 6. 參賽文稿必須附上報名表格。 7. 參賽者可到www.top10news.org登記，免費獲得由《TIME時代週刊》贊助的電子通訊，加深對國際時事的了解。

Information on the News Commentary Competition

Aim:	To enhance students’ critical thinking ability through commenting on current issues
How to join:	Write an essay commenting on a local, regional or international issue in 2008. Each entry should be submitted along with a completed application form to the following address: Hok Yau Club Student Guidance Center , Unit 129, G/F, Lai Ho House, Lai Kok Estate, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon
Deadline:	3nd November 2008 (Monday) (postmark date)
Categories:	Senior form student(F.4–7 / Grade 9-12) Junior form student(F.1-3 / Grade 7-8)
Awards:	Each category has:
	Champion	$1000 book coupon, Certificate of commendation and other
	1st runner-up	$700 book coupon, Certificate of commendation and other
	2nd runner-up	$400 book coupon, Certificate of commendation and other
	3rd runner-up	$200 book coupon and Certificate of commendation
Remarks:	1. English entries must be typed. 2. Chinese entries can be either in handwritten or typed form. 3. Word limit: 1000 for English entries, 500 to 2000 for Chinese entries 4. Proven plagiarism will lead to disqualification. 5. Submitted entries will not be returned. Hok Yau Club has exclusive right to publish any submitted entry, and to use it for promotional purposes. 6. Each entry must be submitted along with a completed application form. 7.
